PHILOSOPHY TRADITIONAL/CONTEMPORARY FRAMEWORK Culture is the foundation of society, the culture of the past charts the culture of the future. ECCO seeks to harmonise the culture of the past and the culture of the present, and as our trademark we seek to blend traditional and contemporary knowledge in every aspect of our project. The Academy will partly function according to African traditions, as an "Oral" and mobile university, combined with academic standards. ECOLOGY & SUSTAINABILITY ECCO works towards being a sustainable organization,and to ensure the sustainability of our projects. ECCO bases all work on ecological and cultural awareness and principles through common ethic ground rules and assessment tools CAPACITY BUILDING Capacity building shall be a central component to ensure the efficient involvement of all concerned in the academy and for the achievement of objectives. ORGANISATION We build the academy and its structures on our accountability and transparency on all levels: financially, practically, administratively and legally. |
